Abteilung 502 oil paints have been specially formulated for model making and contain a small amount of linseed oil. This gives them a satin look, unique in the oil color market, and a relatively fast drying speed when compared to normal oil colors. It is recommended to apply them on surfaces previously painted with an opaque acrylic base in order to get the most out of these colors.

With Abteilung 502 oil colors you will get wonderful glazing effects without any effort and without using finishing paints because they already have an exceptional matte finish.
